Back in October we gave a quick overview of our Staccato HD holsters for Streamlight lights. This post goes deeper on the TLR-7 family, and on the standout of the bunch: the TLR-7 HL-X.

What fits
Both holsters are cut for the Streamlight TLR-7, TLR-7 HL-X, TLR-7A and TLR-7X. Pick the cut length for your HD:
- 3.60″: HD C3.6
- 4.00″: HD C4X, P4 and P4X
- 4.50″: HD P4.5
- Bisect IWB for Staccato HD with Streamlight TLR-7: from $105, with or without a mag carrier.
- M7 OWB for Staccato HD with Streamlight TLR-7: from $85, with or without a mag carrier.
Either one can be ordered with an attached mag carrier, and our Widecar double mag carrier is available separately.
Both come in right and left hand. (If you missed it, the Bisect went left-hand back in August.) For the HD itself, see our Staccato HD Support post.

Why the HL-X
All four lights fit the same holster, but they don’t perform the same. In the Light Lab Comparator, the TLR-7 HL-X measured 1,103 lumens and about 19,200 candela, and its runtime came in 34% over Streamlight’s claim. It runs on a CR123A or Streamlight’s SL-B9 pack, which you can recharge over USB-C instead of buying primaries. The older TLR-7A measured 556 lumens and about 3,700 candela. That’s about twice the lumens and five times the candela in the same holster. If you’re buying new, get the HL-X. And if you already run a TLR-7, TLR-7A or TLR-7X, it goes in the same holster, so you can upgrade the light later without buying a new holster.
Need the light too? We stock the Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X, so you can order the light and the holster together. We also offer a discount when a light and holster are purchased together.
Not sure which holster fits your setup? Use the holster finder on the Werkz.com home page: pick Staccato and your HD model, then Streamlight and your light, and you’ll see the options we have available for you.
