What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
Those who are truly faithful, will show their faith through good works. Yes, we are saved by faith alone, but a true faith will also result in such a love of God that the faithful will perform good works. God doesn’t have a number of good works required to get into heaven, nor does is he balancing a person’s good works versus sin, but every mature believer should bear good fruit.
This is a relief for me. I don’t need to labor for God’s approval, but rather, my love of God will show in how my daily actions affect others.
