A man was shot attempting a home invasion in Miami Gardens, FL.
A neighbor came to the rescue on this one. Around 1:30am, a victim opened his door, and got into a physical altercation from this attempted robbery. The resident’s girlfriend ran to the neighbor’s house for help. At some point, the suspect fired a gun, and the neighbor responded and shot the suspect in the head. The suspect was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

A follow-up story states that the house had $5 million worth of drugs and $1.4 million of cash on hand, and Miami police had arrested the homeowner on drug charges. The girlfriend is also facing drug charges.

I wonder if the neighbor knew what the residents were up to. The news report indicate that this is a quiet neighborhood. This is yet another reason to know your neighbors, and steer clear of those that might bring trouble into your area.
