As we showed in our Shot Show 2026 video, Aimpoint COA optics are coming to a whole variety of pistols. Springfield has just announced availability of 1911 Operator and Prodigy pistols with the Aimpoint COA. The COA features a tough mounting system, and is one of the slimmer optic platforms available. To me, it looks great on top of the slim 1911 / 2011 slides.
I suspect other manufacturers may follow suit in the future. What do you think? Is the COA going to be on your favorite 1911 or 2011?
