Wilson Combat Bulwark

Wilson combat has introduced their “Bulwark“, a 9mm internal hammer-fired pistol. It has 15+1 capacity, and Wilson Combat says it is “cross compatible with many Glock 19 pattern holsters,” but I would be shocked it it fit and retained properly in such without excess movement. I suspect many will like the 1911 style trigger pull; the Bulwark even has a Glock-style trigger safety. Speaking of safeties, Wilson Combat says the pistol has 4 of them: “When not depressed, the grip safety blocks the sear, trigger bar and actuates the firing pin block. Trigger pad safety prevents trigger movement. During normal operation, all four safety systems are disengaged.” The pistol uses a fire control module, which opens up the possibility (likelihood?) of additional grip modules and interchangeable slides.

The MSRP is $1899.

The pistol looks like an interesting take on providing a hybrid between a 2011 and a Glock 19. I do not know if internal hammer -fired pistols are inherently safer than striker-fired, but I’ve liked how internal hammer pistols handle and shoot.
