CZ P-10 C Ported
CZ added a port and a heavier barrel to the P10C to reduce muzzle rise. While I don’t have one on hand, I suspect it will fit in our existing P10C holsters for the pistol when fitted with a TLR-7 light. See CZ’s press release here.
Sig Sauer P211-GTO: Their Compensated 2011
There aren’t a lot of new pistols dropping this summer, so I was surprised when I heard Sig Sauer had a new product that wasn’t just a variant of an existing product. Sig introduced their P211-GTO today. At $2300 without optic, the pistol has quite a few interesting features, including: If you want a more […]
Glock Discontinues Your Favorite?
Some things are forever right? You can depend on them being there. Like diamonds. And taxes. And the Glock 17 Gen4. Except the last one of those items. Glock is discontinuing a slew of pistols, including the Glock 17 Gen4 and the Glock 17 Gen4 / Gen5 MOS. Along with some of those semi-popular pistols, […]
CZ Shadow 2 Carry: The Best CZ for EDC?
I’m a fan of DA/SA pistols. The mechanism provides an extra layer of protection for when holstering. When out training for hours, it’s possible to miss that piece of brass inside the holster mouth, or a shirt bunched up in the trigger guard area. But DA / SA pistols provide the ability to holster with […]
Self-Defense with a Revolver?
American rifleman recently posted an article regarding whether revolvers are a good choice for self-defense — in comparison to semi-auto pistols. The article is here and worth the quick read. Here are a few of my thoughts on revolvers: A modern DAO or DA/SA revolver is incredibly simple. Once rounds are loaded into the cylinder, […]
Walther PDP Pro PMM Review at Guns.com
We provide a lot of holsters for Walther PDP pistols. It’s no secret that they’re accurate, reliable, and have great triggers. We’ve handled the PMM version, and it’s quite nice. We have even fit holsters for it, including “nolight” versions. The compensator helps keep the pistol shooting flat, and the trigger is excellent. Guns.com has […]
Springfield TRP AOS
In case you want an optics-ready 1911 with a rail, Springfield thinks they have the pistol for you: the TRP AOS 1911. Available in 45acp and 9mm, these pistols have features that the FBI Hostage Rescue Team wanted 20 years ago, along with Agency’s optic mount system. Oh yeah, 9mm is new to the lineup. […]
Grand Power P24 – It Takes Glock Mags
A new pistol is coming to the US market. Nothing new there right. Grand Power, maker of a well-regarded rotating barrel pistol, is bringing their P24 to the US. While not a rotating barrel design, this striker fired pistol takes full size Glock mags. Does the world need another striker fired pistol? Perhaps… James Reeves’ […]
Are Revolvers Relevant?
I was looking at Smith & Wesson J-Frame pistols the other day. There are a -lot- of these little 5-shot revolvers around in .38 Special or .357 Magnum. I’ve owned and shot a Ruger LCR many years ago. Many years ago, we also produced holsters for revolvers. They were quite good. It got me wondering. […]
Girsan 2311 Brat
The Turkish company Girsan has released a stubby 2011 pistol chambered in either 9mm or 45acp. Both pistols feature a short 3.4″ barrel and full size grips, with 17 round capacity (9mm) and 11 round capacity (45acp). They’re dubbed the “Brat.” While I’ve not handled this particular variant, we have tested the larger size pistols […]
