Modlite has launched their Noxon Anark today. This light boasts 1,000 lumens and 18,000 candela in a small form factor for $130.
I’ve had the chance to carry an Anark over the last couple weeks. My usage consists of frequent admin tasks that require a low level of light, and occasional tasks that require high output. The Anark fills this need well with the easy-to-find side switch that activates the 80 lumen mode, plus the well shrouded rear switch that activates the full output. The reversible pocket clip works well for me, and I think it has only “nd’d” once in my pocket. Yes, it uses convenient USB-C charging. I also appreciate that the light is a bit shorter than my Surefire Stiletto Pro II.
