A story this week reminded me that firearms aren’t always reliable. In this case, a man entered a home of a husband & wife. The man pointed the firearm at the husband’s head, and attempted to shoot, but it didn’t fire. The man then pointed the firearm at the wife, but again it didn’t discharge. The husband was then able to shoot back, and shot the man in the leg.
For me this is a reminder of two things. First is that even if someone has the drop on me, their weapon may not be reliable. The second reminder is to ensure the proper operation of my firearms.
