Working through Psalm 105, I come to verse 4:
Seek the LORD and his strength: seek his face evermore.
It’s critical to keep focus on the Lord. I need to be seeking a greater understanding and reliance upon God. I need to constantly improve my understanding of His word, and other ways that He reveals Himself to me. I must not rely upon my own strength or understanding. Instead I need to turn to Him. I can think of a number of ways to do this:
- When I worry, turn to Him instead. Give Him my hopes and fears and trust that He will lead me through.
- Seek understanding of God through His word. Give glory to God in all the little miracles of life.
- So many things are out of my control. Rely upon God’s plan to do good for me.
- Know and act like God is the creator of all, and that nothing is too big or too small for Him to make right.
- When I need to be face adversity, don’t rely upon my own strength or resources; God is the one who provides all.
