Corinthians 1:7-8
So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
That’s right… Christ confirms believers, making them blameless. So many of us live our lives in shame of the mistakes we have made. Not so under Christ. If we confess Him as Lord, then He will be faithful and hold us blameless. Us believers are provided the assurance of salvation, plus we are provided with freedom in this life from guilt and shame. Yes, we must confess our sins to Him. Yes we must repent, which requires turning away from sin and toward Jesus. And yes, we will fail at times. But we know that we will be held blameless, and with Christ, in the end. What a wonderful mystery, this!
