Colossians 1:3: We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
I pray daily for family, employees, customers. I pray for health, wisdom, favor, revival. I pray for leaders, church, community, and nation. However, this verse drives home that I also need to pray for my fellow Christians; I need to give thanks for believers everywhere.
Thinking about it further, Christians have changed the world. Christians have established the sanctity of life; all people are made in God’s image, regardless of social status. Christians have opposed abortion, promoting the sanctity of life from conception, and have established orphanages. Christians have established hospitals and modern nursing. Christians established the first modern academic universities. Christians were among many notable scientists. Christianity has provided the foundation for much of Western governance.
Indeed, our brothers and sisters in Christ have been His hands, transforming the world in many ways we take for granted today. We should pray for continued Christian advances.
