From Grover NC, comes a story where someone was apparently burglarizing a home, looking for firearms. A neighbor caught the man in the act, and heard gunshots. He fired his own shots at the burglar, apparently fearing for his life. This occurred at almost 11pm.
Investigators said no one is believed to have been shot, and they’re looking for the car that the burglar escaped in. The story says that at least 12 rounds were fired.
Thankfully, no one was injured, but this could have gone a lot worse. I have to wonder if lighting was a factor in the missed shots — 12 rounds of them! This story also emphasizes what can happen during an intervention. We must never assume we are the only one armed when we intervene.
