“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
This is a commonly quoted passage, but what constitutes worshiping in spirit and truth? I think it means to worship not ceremonially, and not necessarily in a particular place (though we also need to worship together as Christians). But our worship is enabled by divine grace, is truly heartfelt, and animates our spiritual selves to bless the Lord. This type of worship exhibits our adoration of our God, both inwardly, and outwardly.
I would welcome your feedback on this… am I on the right track?
