Two men met in a parking lot in San Antonio.
Around 8:55pm on Saturday, police learned that two men met, when a suspect produced a handgun and attempted to take the other man’s property. During this robbery, the suspect shot the 32-year-old man multiple times. This victim apparently shot back, striking the suspect at least once.
The suspect then attempted to flee the scene in a vehicle, but crashed into a car, then crashed into a home.
The “suspect” was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man he attempted to rob is in critical condition.
I doubt a flashlight would have helped much here. This sounds like a transaction initiated off of social media, where the two decided to meet in a public place for safety. In this case, it didn’t turn out so safe.
