We talked with Canik at Shot regarding their newest release, the MC9 Prime. My guess is that this pistol will be popular, coming in just over $600 street price.
Taking from the popular Mete MC9, the Prime provides a more aggressive grip texture, 17-round capacity, stronger slide serrations, and an integrated compensator. The pistol has an optic cut, and the optional MeCanik optic even has a similar serration to match the pistol.
Notably, this pistol will be made in the USA at Canik’s new factory in Florida.
The flat-face trigger requires a larger trigger guard, so holsters aren’t interchangeable.
Speaking of holsters, would you want a light-bearing option for this pistol? Or perhaps a Bisect non-light-bearing option? (Side note, we do have MC9 Bisect options today, but they do not fit the Prime.) Let me know.
